goat poets

Anastasia Bamford
you might think goats would be fun to own what no one tells you is that they can’t really be owned you may have a fence and a very nice barn but you also have fruit trees and goats what they lack in thumbs is made up for with prehensile lips and brains they aren’t in the barn or anywhere inside the fence and the gate stands open they are climbing the old apple and they have stripped the bark from the young cherries the chickens are exploring new territory and laying eggs in obscure places the goats are printing zines and distributing them to the neighbor’s sheep they have mastered all your locks and their square eyes are filled with mirth
