Michael Hathaway is an American poet, editor, publisher, and founder of Chiron Review. He began publishing its predecessor, The Kindred Spirit, in 1982 and renamed the journal Chiron Review in 1989. Over four decades, he has published thousands of poets, fiction writers, essayists, artists, and photographers while also producing books through Chiron Review Press. His own poetry and prose are rooted in autobiography, relationships, family, cats, queer experience, rural Kansas, memory, humor, grief, and the sustaining power of chosen family.
