Belinda Subraman is an American poet, artist, editor, interviewer, and independent publisher who has been active in literary culture since the 1970s. While living in Germany she edited the international literary magazine Gypsy and later produced Sanctuary, a series of audio recordings featuring poets and musicians. She subsequently founded GAS: Poetry, Art & Music. Subraman’s career reflects the multimedia, international, do-it-yourself spirit of the small press. Her literary archives are housed at the University of New Mexico.
