Scott Heim
Scott Heim, born in Hutchinson, Kansas, in 1966, is an acclaimed novelist, poet, and editor best known for Mysterious Skin. Raised in rural Kansas, he studied at the University of Kansas and Columbia University. His other novels include In Awe and We Disappear, and his poetry collection Saved From Drowning was published in 1993. Mysterious Skin was adapted into Gregg Araki’s acclaimed film. Heim has received fellowships from the London Arts Board and Sundance Screenwriters Lab; We Disappear received a Lambda Literary Award.
